What to do in Conwy:
- The Town of Conwy is two minutes' walk from Bryn. It
has several Restaurants, Tea-Rooms and Pubs which serve food.
- The Castle is open every day. There are excellent
views from the towers. Part of the walls can be walked round, again with
wonderful views of the town.
- Plas Mawr, an Elizabethan mansion, and Aberconwy
House along with the Smallest House in Britain on the picturesque quay are
all well worth visiting in their own right.
- Tennis courts within the park in Conwy.
- Musical entertainment at the Folk Club every Monday
night in The Malt Loaf Pub.
A few minutes' drive away:
- Sailing at the nearby marina.
- Horse-Riding - There are stables nearby.
- There is an RSPB Bird Reserve just outside the
town.
- Bodnant Garden (The National Trust)
- Conwy Golf Club
- Sports Leisure Centre in Llandudno Junction.
- Llandudno has many Restaurants and a large Theatre.
It is a beautiful Victorian seaside resort in a striking setting.
Less than an hour away:
- Many
National Trust Properties are within easy reach, including beaches and
open spaces. Betws-y-coed is half an hour away, and all parts of Snowdonia
are easily accessible.
- North
Wales is famous for Historic Castles, Churches and fine buildings - both
classical and vernacular, and high quality gardens, including world famous
Bodnant, abound.
- The
mountains of Snowdonia are popular with climbers and walkers, and the
coastline and beaches of Anglesey, the Llyn peninsula and the northern
Cardigan bay are stunning.
