ABOUT BRYN
Bryn occupies a unique position within the World Heritage site that is Conwy. The town walls, built by Edward 1 in the 13th Century, are almost intact. Bryn stands right against the highest tower, adjacent to the arch known as Porth Uchaf. The wall is a feature of the large garden.
The house dates from the 1850s (Regency Period) and was first known as Rose Cottage. At the time of the 1871 census there was one lady living in the house with four full time staff - a housemaid, cook, groom/coachman and stable boy.
Today, it is a comfortable
family house with well-equipped spacious rooms and a homely atmosphere.
It is well placed for exploring Snowdonia and Anglesey, and travelling on via
the Holyhead ferry to Ireland.
